IN THIS LESSON

Presentation Description:
This presentation explores how animal archetypes, rooted in psychology, myth, magical realism, and ancestral ways of knowing, can serve as powerful symbolic and somatic tools in clinical practice. For many clients—especially those who connect naturally with imagery, story, and metaphor—animal figures offer an accessible language for emotional expression, identity exploration, and trauma integration. Through guided imagery, experiential work, and practical clinical applications, participants will learn how animal symbolism can help clients externalize what feels overwhelming, activate inner resources, and cultivate more resilient, meaningful narratives.

Learning Outcomes - Participants will:
1. Integrate animal archetypes as symbolic and somatic resources to help clients externalize emotions, access inner strengths, and regulate their nervous systems.

2. Apply imaginal and narrative techniques—including guided imagery and archetypal storytelling—to support trauma processing, identity exploration, and meaning-making.

3. Use animals as clinical metaphors for internal parts and psychological functions, allowing clients to engage creatively, explore hidden aspects of self, and develop more resilient narratives.
